I am sure that as you learn the English language and share in the life of our school that we will all learn much from the experience.
Chiganois Elementary School is located in Masstown, a rural community a short distance from the town of Truro. We enjoy the opportunities of a developed town and the beautiful landscape of rural Nova Scotia.
Chiganois Elementary School has reputation as a caring and student centered school that offers a high quality academic program. Our school motto is "We make a Difference".
Our school has 240 students, 13 teachers, enjoys a music and physical education program and a full time Learning Center. We have a library, gymnasium, music room and a hot lunch program. Chiganois is fully wired for internet and every classroom has computers. Our school has a large playing field for outdoor activities such as baseball and soccer.
There are many parent volunteers who assist our professional teaching staff in making Chiganois an excellent choice for a Canadian cultural experience. I know that this supportive parent community will make any home stay experience a positive part of a Korean student's visit to our country and school.
