The Sir Charles Tupper Elementary School in Warren is entering its fortieth year of existence. Named after one of Canada's Fathers of Confederation, and later Prime Minister of Canada for 10 weeks in 1896, the Sir Charles Tupper School is very proud of its heritage.

Presently, the school staff includes 7 classroom teachers, 4 part-time-circuit specialists, 3 teacher assistants, a secretary and a caretaker, all of whom are dedicated to the children and families we serve.

Our teachers are constantly adapting to new curriculum ideas and teaching strategies, the latest being the hands-on based math strategies, a very in-depth, literature based language program, and piloting a new Chignecto Central Regional School Board report card.

Our support staff does an excellent job of caring for the many aspects of school life that keep us safe and informed, and they are an integral part of the school team, including the School Advisory Council and the Health and Safety Committee.

The parents of the "Warren" school have dedicated themselves to the many activities that strengthen the home-and-school bond. Fundraising for special projects, volunteering for lunch and library programs and class trips are just a part of their contribution.

Thanks to the parents and the school board, we have one of the safest and most child oriented playgrounds in the county.

The most important aspect of our school though is the group of children we have the pleasure of assisting every day. From their entry into our school, the children are eager to prove their abilities in the academics they are studying and also their individual talents in sports, music, acting and community spirit.

Parents and teachers alike can be very proud of the children's accomplishments. Our school’s rural setting, its dedication to learning, its Peaceful School initiatives, but most of all the children, parents and staff that occupy its space, make us very honored indeed to be a part of such an important goal as the pursuit of lifelong learning.
